Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)

In today's wealth and estate planning environment, advisors are expected to deliver superior educational resources for clients. Advisors require ever increasing talents and skills that demand a deeper knowledge to diagnose and overcome complex financial challenges.

With that in mind, I made 2018 a year where I committed to broaden and deepen my education. I am proud to announce that I achieved the internationally recognized professional designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).

A CLU advisor is an insurance specialist whose standards for competent practice represent a greater level of knowledge and skill in the complex wealth and estate transfer arena. We structure advanced solutions for high-net-worth families, business owners and professionals. We pull together broad areas of information and apply them in an integrated and holistic manner. We work closely together with your personal lawyers, accountants, tax experts and trust practitioners to complete the picture.

The CLU designation has been widely acknowledged for 90 years as a superior work of specialization in the financial industry. It is conferred in Canada exclusively by the Institute for Advanced Financial Education. Currently there are 3,500 CLU holders out of 100,000 registered advisors in Canada.

Please, by all means, reach out to me to discover how a CLU designation can contribute favourably to your financial affairs.

Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS)

Knowing the importance of continuing professional development, I completed my 2018 journey of learnings with a second designation, Chartered Health Insurance Specialist (CHS).

The CHS designation is the only health-insurance focused designation in Canada. It covers in-depth knowledge in all relevant areas, including income replacement, disability, critical illness, long-term care and group benefits insurance.

I believe education drives better decisions. It is my personal responsibility to keep my knowledge and skills up to date so the quality of service I provide will meet your expectations and beyond. I want the financial work I do to be the very best that I am capable of.

It is interesting to note that out of 100,000 advisors in Canada, only 1,970 have both a CLU and CHS designation.
